Inspiration from Italian Sculptor Canova

Antonio Canova (1 November 1757 – 13 October 1822) was an Italian Neoclassical sculptor, renowned for his marble sculptures depicting classical themes and mythological subjects. Canova's work  features graceful forms, meticulous detail, and a harmonious blend of classical influences.

Canova was well-ahead of his time when it came to innovation, using clay models to expedite the sculpting process. This technique allowed him to create multiple versions of a sculpture, and meet the high demand for his work. It was not only a practical solution to increase efficiency but also a method that maintained his precision and harmony.

For me, Canova is a source of admiration and inspiration. Centuries before digital printers would exist, he didn’t accept the status quo of slowly creating one sculpture at a time. Using the tools and methods available and pioneering his own, he innovated a solution that allowed him to dramatically scale, without sacrificing quality. In other words, he compressed time, and you can too.

Think about Canova when you create your Painted Picture. What can you innovate to deliver more, faster, and better? How can you speed up your journey to your ideal life? If an 18th century sculptor with no internet or AI can do it, so can you!
