The Early Entrepreneur
Dan’s entrepreneurial journey began at age 8. He started working in the family business – a campground in the sunny Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. He and his three brothers bought the campground from their parents in 2001. They expanded both sites and amenities, making it a favorite spot for many families on Lake Skaha.

The Supply Chain Expert
In 1989, Dan founded PadTech Global Sourcing. He and his team developed an international network of factories to offer turnkey manufacturing solutions. The company works in a wide variety of industries including electronic, CCTV, wind energy, music, and power tool industries. He served as PadTech’s president until 2016 when he and his team applied their supply chain expertise to found Omnae.
Omnae is a cloud-based platform that addresses supply chain complexity by streamlining and automating transactions between customers and suppliers. The technology company works to improve communication, enable visibility all the way up and down the value chain, and give companies accurate and up-to-date information.
“As we pivoted from manufacturing to sourcing, I realized we were an information company. Communications in supply chain is a time-consuming, disconnected mess. I recognized the need to streamline and automate the interactions between businesses. We’re addressing supply chain complexity through intelligent B2B integration.”
The Teacher & Speaker
Throughout his career, Dan has been an active member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization. In fact, the “Painted Picture” grew from a brainstorming session in his EO Forum. His forum mate, Brian Scudamore, crafted a vision for 1-800-Got-Junk? that transformed the business into the thriving, widespread franchise it is today.
Dan developed a process to help others create Painted Pictures and began leading workshops and facilitating in 2008. He has helped hundreds of business leaders create their personal and company Painted Pictures.
Through this process, his clients have attracted the best staff for their company, increased sales dramatically and manifested their ideal lives faster than they predicted.
